Manager showing incorrect name


We have one employee who is showing the wrong manager in our Active Directory but its correct in UKG. This is only happening for one user and I have confirmed its the correct employee number. I noticed the expression used for the manager field is auto. What API parameter is mapped to auto in UKG? Are we able to set it something different like supervisorEmail and have it update in AD correctly? Thanks!

Is the employees manager in the same domain as the employee?
