Delaying Notification Emails


I was wondering if it was possible to delay the notification emails?

Since we utilize AD Sync, would be nice to delay the notifications for 30-45 minutes so the account is active when the information is sent.

The moment the user is created in AD, a notification is sent to the SMTP queue.
A scheduled background task then picks up the record from the queue and sends the email.

The scheduled background task runs every 5 minutes.

There isn’t an obvious way for you to delay anything in this process, unless you consider modifying the schedule of the background task.

You can modify the task via Windows Task Scheduler as shown below, but know that if you ever change any of the SMTP settings from within the Connect to AD app, it will change it back to every 5 minutes.
