Access Denied error for adding user to a group

I have a group mapping setup to assign a user to a specific group.

I’ve set it to always return true (I want each user in that group)

When I check the logs it shows an Access Denied message

An error occured while trying to add the user to the group Production Engineers - Access is denied.

This has happened because the user account you have used in the AD connection does not have the required access permissions to manage the group you are adding the user to.

Please use an account that has the access permissions Modify the membership of a group as shown below.
